Alternanthera Reineckii 'Lilacina' needs plenty of light to grow and form dark red leaves. In open aquariums it grows very well up to the surface, and like other difficult plants, growth improves dramatically if running a CO2 system. Shortage of micronutrients results in pale leaves. Like other stem plants, Alternanthera Reineckii 'Lilacina' is best in groups.
